Do I need to bring my own support staff to the group activities?
No, you will be accompanied by our support team while on the activity.

What ages do your services provide support from?
We support individuals aged 4yrs+, we are experienced, qualified and trained to work with both children and adults

What is the staff ratio?
For individuals requiring support – we can offer a staff ratio according to your needs – e.g. 1:1 2:1 3:1

For our group activities, we limit the number of clients to 10 with at least 2 support workers or more depending on client needs.

Are our staff DBS checked?
Yes, all staff hold an enhanced DBS check, and references are obtained prior to any offer of employment.

Will I need spending money?
The cost of group activities is included in the price, you will need spending money for anything you wish to buy.

For 1:1 support you are responsible for any activity costs, travel costs etc.

Do you provide transport to and from my home?
We can arrange for you to be picked up from your home depending on location for an additional charge.

Do you provide support with personal care?
Unfortunately, we’re not able to provide any personal care.

Can you administer medication?
We are not able to administer any form of medication we can offer support as in reminders/prompting etc but we are not physically able to administer medication if required you will need to bring your own medically trained staff with you at your own expense.

Do you have to have a membership to come out with Socialising Buddies Ltd?
No, we don’t provide membership as we know everyone has different interests, different budgets and different commitments. We do, however, require all clients to complete and return a registration form prior to accessing any of our services – this is to ensure that we have all the information we need in order to provide you with the best level of care and support.

1:1 hours are charged at a minimum of 2.5hrs per booking.

Do you accept direct payments?
Yes, we are happy to accept clients who are self-funded as well as those through direct payments, we will provide you with an invoice and receipt for your records, direct payments are awarded on individual needs so we do advise you to check with your social worker first to check they are happy for you to use them with us, feel free to pass our details over to your social worker if they have any questions.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have full public liability cover, and employers liability insurance, certificates are available to view on request.

Are you able to take wheelchair users?
Yes, we are able to support individuals with various mobility needs.

For our group activities, we aim to provide wheelchair accessible outings where possible. There may be places where this isn’t available, this will be stated in the diary if that’s the case. Whilst we are able to support wheelchair users it may be necessary to do this on one to one support which will be charged at an hourly rate instead of group rate with entry costs to be paid by clients. This will usually be required on the bigger day trips as we may need to take an additional support worker to ensure there are enough staff available to support the group’s needs as well as your own individual needs.

Do I have to have a social worker to come out?
No, you don’t need to bring your support worker. We do ask that you provide us with a contact of someone that will support you.
